- Details of the proposed transaction, the security property and your exit
- Identity and address verification documents
- Financial information including accounts, bank statements and credit history
- Records of our correspondence with you
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your information to assess your requirements, approach lenders on your behalf and administer a case through to completion. Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering one, and our legitimate interest in operating a brokerage. Where we are required to verify your identity or report a suspicion, we process your information to comply with a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
To place a case we share information with lenders, and where relevant with valuers, solicitors, insurers, packagers and credit reference agencies. A credit reference agency search may leave a record on your file. We share information with our professional advisers and with regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it. We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Six years from the end of our relationship, which is the period over which a claim relating to a brokered facility could be brought and over which we may be required to evidence our anti money laundering checks. Enquiries that do not proceed are deleted after twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to how we are using it, or ask us to delete it where we have no continuing reason to keep it. Write to the address above. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
